Good to know
- Use with Grade 8 bolts/studs — match or exceed the bolt grade so the nut is never the weak link.
- Fine (UNF) thread — higher tensile strength and better resistance to loosening than coarse.
- Roughly 30–45% thicker than a heavy hex nut of the same size, so more threads engage to develop a high-grade stud's full strength and protect thread ends. Made to SAE J482 dimensions with SAE J995 mechanical properties — common on truck and automotive suspension, tie-rods, all-thread, and leveling screws.
- Plain finish has no corrosion coating — oil, wax, or paint for outdoor or wet service, or ask us about a plated option.
