- Use with Grade 8 bolts/studs — match or exceed the bolt grade so the nut is never the weak link.
- Coarse (UNC) thread — faster to install and more tolerant of nicks and corrosion.
- A thin nut — used to lock a primary nut (double-nut method) or set and hold a position on threaded rod.
