1/2-13 UNC SWAGING RIVETNUT, KNURLED BODY, BLIND HOLE/LARGE GRIP, STEEL, YELLOW ZINC PLATED

The ATN050C1SY is a 1/2-13 steel, yellow zinc plated swaging-series rivet nut (RivetKing ISR series, straight knurl) designed for blind-hole installations and applications where the panel grip range is unknown or variable. Unlike standard fixed-grip rivet nuts, the ISR series has unlimited maximum grip — it will set in any sheet thicker than 0.030" — making it the right choice when you don't know the exact panel thickness in advance.

When to choose ISR over standard IKF: The ISR swaging design swages outward against the inside of a blind hole rather than collapsing against the back face of an open panel, making it suitable for closed/blind cavities and one-sided structural panels. Common applications: Used in heavy equipment, frame and chassis applications, structural attachments, equipment skirting, and any application requiring high pull-out strength and torque resistance. In steel, yellow zinc plated this part is well-suited to general industrial, automotive, structural.

Specifications

Installation: Drill a hole within the recommended range (0.75" depending on sheet thickness — see the spec table above). Set with a swaging-compatible rivet nut tool. The ISR body swages radially outward and the knurled body locks against the hole wall to prevent rotation.

Tool selection: Pneumatic, hydraulic, or pneudraulic rivet nut tools are recommended for this size — manual tools are not practical due to the force required to set the larger threaded body. Note: ISR swaging-style rivet nuts may require slightly different tool nose pieces than standard IKF — confirm tool compatibility before ordering at scale.
