Tee Nuts
A tee nut (T-nut) is a flanged insert with prongs or a barrel that drives into wood or composite to provide a strong, permanent machine-screw thread. It is the standard way to add bolt-on threads to plywood, MDF, and hardwood — used in furniture, jigs and fixtures, speaker cabinets, climbing holds, and knock-down assemblies. Eugene Fastener & Supply stocks tee nuts in steel (zinc) and stainless.
Prong (3- and 4-prong) styles hammer in for a quick grip; barrel and screw-in styles suit harder or thinner material. We sell by the piece or in bulk and ship same day before 2pm Pacific.

FAQ
What is a tee nut?
A tee nut (T-nut) is a flanged insert with prongs or a barrel that drives into wood or composite to give a permanent machine-screw thread. It lets you bolt into plywood, MDF, and hardwood for furniture, jigs, and cabinets.
How do you install a tee nut?
Drill a hole for the barrel, then hammer (prong style) or press the tee nut in from the back so the flange seats and the prongs bite. Tightening the bolt also pulls it in. For thin or hard material, a screw-in threaded insert may hold better.
What is the difference between a tee nut and a threaded insert?
A tee nut hammers in with prongs and a flange on the back face; a threaded insert screws into a drilled hole and is flush. Tee nuts are fast in softer wood; screw-in inserts hold better in hardwood and are removable.
What sizes do tee nuts come in?
Common inch and metric machine-screw sizes (for example 1/4-20, 5/16-18, 3/8-16, M6, M8) with various barrel lengths. Contact us for a specific size.
