Good to know

  • Use with Grade 5 bolts/studs — match or exceed the bolt grade so the nut is never the weak link.
  • Coarse (UNC) thread — faster to install and more tolerant of nicks and corrosion.
  • A nylon collar grips the bolt threads to resist loosening; rated to roughly 250°F — use an all-metal lock nut above that.
  • Zinc-plated for general indoor and light-outdoor corrosion resistance.
