Strut Channel Fittings

Strut channel fittings are the plates, angles, and brackets that join lengths of strut into frames, racks, and supports. Eugene Fastener & Supply stocks the full fitting line: flat splice and corner plates, 90-degree corner and shelf angles, open and closed angle fittings, U-shape and Z-shape supports, wing fittings, square and saddle washers, and swivel connectors. Standard finish is electro-galvanized; stainless and hot-dip galvanized are available on most fittings.

These fittings fit Unistrut and other standard 1-5/8" strut systems, so if you have a competitor part number we almost certainly carry the equivalent. Buy by the piece or the carton, with same-day shipping on orders placed before 2pm Pacific.

What Are Strut Channel Fittings?

Strut channel fittings are pre-formed steel connectors that bolt into strut with channel nuts to join, brace, and terminate runs of strut. Instead of welding or custom fabrication, you assemble a frame from standard fittings: flat plates to splice straight runs, angles to turn corners, U and Z supports to span and offset, and wings to build multi-plane connections. Everything is on the common 1-5/8" hole pattern.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a flat fitting and an angle fitting?

A flat fitting (splice plate, corner plate, tee) joins strut in the same flat plane, like splicing two lengths end to end or branching a tee. An angle fitting (corner angle, shelf angle, open/closed angle) turns the connection out of plane, most commonly 90 degrees to build a corner or hang a shelf. Use flat fittings to extend and branch, angle fittings to change direction.

What is a strut U fitting versus a Z fitting?

A U fitting (U support) wraps around or cradles a member, spanning across the open side of the channel. A Z fitting offsets the connection to a parallel plane, stepping the strut over by a set distance. U fittings span and support; Z fittings offset.

Do strut fittings come in stainless steel?

Yes. Most fittings are stocked in electro-galvanized as standard, with 316 stainless and hot-dip galvanized available for wet, coastal, or outdoor work. Tell us the fitting and finish you need.

Do these fittings fit Unistrut?

Yes. Our fittings are built to the common 1-5/8 inch strut hole pattern and cross-reference to Unistrut and other standard brands. For example our 2-hole flat splice plate matches Unistrut P1065. See the cross-reference table above.

How are strut fittings attached?

Fittings bolt to strut using channel nuts and bolts. Drop a channel nut into the strut, line up the fitting hole, and tighten a bolt through the fitting into the nut. No welding or drilling is required. See our channel nuts.
