How a Strut Trolley System Works
A strut trolley rolls inside the open channel of a length of 1-5/8" strut mounted as a track. The track is held up by intermediate supports along its length and joined where two sticks meet by a splice support. The trolley carries a bolt or fixture on its mounting hole(s), so whatever you hang from it, a curtain, a sliding panel, a cable carrier, a light hoist, rolls smoothly along the run. It is the simplest, lowest-cost way to add linear motion using standard strut.

Choosing the Right Trolley
Pick by load and stability. A 2-wheel trolley is fine for light, simple hangs like curtains and lightweight panels. Step up to a 4-wheel trolley for heavier loads or where you want the carrier to resist tipping. Choose the 3-hole 4-wheel trolley when you need to bolt a fixture or bracket directly to the carrier. Always support the track with intermediate supports at regular intervals so it does not sag under the rolling load.
